These are just a few examples of the contents page's that i would like my magazine to be based on. As you can see with both pictures the house style is very plain but works very well. Although these contents pages may not conform to the expectations of a contents page with my target audience. I will make sure the colours will fit in with my target audience.

Editing third mock up

As you can see i have arranged the writing more like a magazine and gave it a banner on the bottom. It still need more work to look more like a a magazine. i still need to work on the banner and the positioning of the words on the right.

For my third mock up i am using all the information from my second and first mock up. As you can see with this mock up you can hardly see the light pink colours, so i am going to make the background darker. I am also going to make the barcode smaller as it is quite big and move the text around.

This is the picture i am going to use for my first mock up. i think this picture is very effective as i am just looking straight at the camera. 

Examples of pictures

I have taken more pictures because my other pictures did not have a clear white background and the pictures were not as clear. So this time i am just in front of a plain white wall.

Second mock up...

I think this magazine fits with the conventions for my target audience. Its has lots going on and a set house style. However the magazine is not as bright a colourful as i thought it was going to be so for my next mock up i will have more pastel colours. 

Masthead

This is the masthead that i am going to use on my magazines. I think that this is bold and fits for my target audience. Its also just the right size to put on the front cover.

Examples of pictures

These are examples of what my front cover pictures look like. As you can see they are of a very bad quality and are a burnt orange colour. So i am going to take these pictures again exactly how they are but making sure they are of a better quality. 

Editing My Second Mock

i wanted to use the top picture for my second mock but my head was chopped off at the top so there would be no room to but my masthead. so i copied and pasted it onto a new background and coloured in my hair and and coloured in a new background where they will be enough room to put my masthead.

More Pictures For My Front Cover

After looking at the pictures i took the first time the backgrounds were a brown colour so i have taken new photo's with a dark room and just a flash and i think the pictures have come out a lot more professional a clear. 

First Mock Up...

As you can see the background is very plan and brown, which does not conform to the conventions of a pop magazine. Therefore i am going to take more pictures not using a yellow tinted light and to see how they turn out.

Editing my pictures

When taking my pictures i found that when i put them onto fireworks they turned out more brown and yellow rather then a clear white colour. So i edited the photo to make it look like the background is meant to be brown by altering the brightness and contrast. I also sharpened the photo to make it look my authentic.

I found it really difficult using the band ideas and incorporating into a picture. i tried to take different pictures of myself and join it together to try and create a band, but i found it difficult joining the pictures together, as you can see above all the pictures have different backgrounds.

Double page spread

She is the star everyone is talking about. New girl Karmen Johnson has already topped the UK charts with Broken, which followed her first single Trapped earlier this year. This is not the first time the 20 year old English singer has tried to reach fame.

How did you start your career of song writing and singing?

Well i always new i wanted to be somewhere in the singing industry so i started of by doing what most people do when they want to be a singer. I auditioned on the x-factor with three of my closest friends in 2008, the judges said that we were all too young but we have talent. So i began doing it by myself, writing my own songs and playing with my guitars in my room. I wondered what other people would think of my music so i posted a video up of me on YouTube singing one of my favorite songs ' A Thousand Years'. Before i new it everyday the views and likes increased and my twitter account was flooded with new followers.(@KarmenJohnson)

So what happened from then?

Well everything has been crazy since then, ive been working on my first upcoming album 'Fallen' which will be released on 25th May. I have the likes of Jessie-J and Justin Timberlake featuring on the album, and some old classic's which i have put my own style on. I feel like ive had a 10 year career in just a year.

Has fame changed you as a person?

Well i think fame changes everyone i think it depends on who you are with at the time. Your personality changes depending on which person you are with. I think as a person i have become more aware of who i am and what i want to achieve.

What has been your most memorable moment so far of your career?

The moment i will never forget is when i won the award for the best newcomer at the Brit Awards. It is a feeling you cannot describe, knowing that the songs you have written and created are liked by thousands of other people.

Plans for my front cover

Images

For the image on the front cover i am planning to have myself as my own girl band. For example i will take pictures of myself in the same background but copy and paste other pictures of me in, so for the end results it will look like my own girl band. 

Examples of pictures i would use for my magazine

After speaking to some of my target audience i feel that a girl band will attract my target audience more then a boy band. I have been looking at girl bands on the internet and I think i will take these pictures into consideration when taking my own pictures. I am interested in putting a girl band on the front cover and for them to be positioned as seen in some of these photo's. I will have three people in the band.
